Saint-Gobain China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was kicked off from May 2017 to boost open innovation and better support and grow start-ups in China in New Materials, Energy Conservation and Environment Protection sectors. During 6 months, more than 100 projects have been received through online collection and the three start-up incubators Tuspark, Wesocool and Caohejing with which Saint-Gobain has signed MOU aiming at integrating resources from both parties to incubate innovation projects together.

40 projects were chosen for roadshows, of which 6 were awarded as outstanding projects by the jury composed of industry experts, famous investors and Saint-Gobain China Marketing and Research Directors. Some others were considered as potential cooperated projects.

The final roadshow was held by Saint-Gobain together with Caohejing late October. On the same occasion, Javier Gimeno, General Delegate for Saint-Gobain in Asia-Pacific, and Han Baofu, Chairman of Caohejing Science Park Science and Technology Center, unveiled the Saint-Gobain & CHJ Cross Boarder New Materials Accelerator.

Hipaint Wall project, as the representative of outstanding award projects, has been selected to join the 2018 Saint-Gobain Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summit in Paris on 21th December 2017, allowing them to have direct exchanges with both Saint-Gobain Top Management and our innovation teams.
